    Re: Attention Texans! Advise needed

FIns85258 I appreciate the detailed info. We opted for the longer Atlanta layover because, as Hubby and I will already be on island, I really don't want to get a call from my daughter, sobbing that...

PeterLynn, Yes, you are right, Delta far more expensive (but the better airline :laughing-cry:.) They are (my daughter and her friend) are going on American thru Atlanta with about an 1 1/2 hour...

Jim A: which city in Florida besides Miami are you referring to? I will check it out, although I would think that the airline websites would have showed another option?

    Re: Attention Texans! Advise needed

Yes, Delta is my airline of choice also but unfortunately they are $250 more each person and the Atlanta connection is less than an hour so I think I am stuck with American.

    Re: Attention Texans! Advise needed

I agree, booking them with a one hour layover is too risky, not worth the agitation (that I would have sitting by the pool at the villa because I would have already gotten there :biglaugh:) I wonder,...

    Re: Attention Texans! Advise needed

    Thank you PeterLynn,
I did get into the weeds and it appears American through Atlanta (UGH) is the best option. I would prefer for them to go through Charlotte but the layover is only an hour and I...

    Attention Texans! Advise needed

Hello, I have noticed that there are a number of Texans on this forum. We ourselves are from NYC and getting St Barths is (relatively) straight forward from here and we have been doing it for years....

  10. Re: The New York Times: "Eden Rock, a St. Barts Favorite, Reopens Its Doors"

The article mentions the "previous three restaurants and bars" pre Irma. I only remember two restaurants...Sand Bar and then the dinner place up the stairs (The Roc?). Am I forgetting one?
  11. Re: Le Toiny Restaurant Change - Jarad at Le Toiny

We tried the Beach club for the first time ever last March and loved it. We also tried the restaurant in the hotel (for the first time since Irma) and found the menu extremely limited. I just took a...

The sauce Chien looks a lot like the sauce that Tom Beach used to serve with their Branzino, which I very much miss!
  15. Re: Papa's pizza. Anyone tried this one yet? Looks like delivery only.

I am so happy to know about JPizza...we are staying in the Toiny area next March and will be good to know of a close-by place to pick up a pizza for movie night in the villa!

  27. Re: Shell Beach pictures from the time of just shells on the beach

1993! That's the year we honeymooned in St. Barths. Great pictures. I would look for myself but I don't think we went to Shell Beach. We went mostly to Saline, if memory serves.
  28. Re: What is it that gives us the tingles anticipating SBH?
