    Re: Good 'Ol American Airlines!

We're about 150 miles closer than you, but the SXM route is still tight (1am wakeup for a 3am drive to the airport, etc...). Thought we found our solution this year. Although expensive, United 10am...

    Re: Road construction- September-December

Maya gave us her recipe for "Sauce Chien" a few years ago and we served it with mahi-mahi (durade) at a "villa themed" dinner party. The side was baked christophine, derived from a partial recipe...

Re: Where to stay...Vitet or Lurin

I looked at the villa Varuna online and am amazed, but also noticed that it isn't in Lurin, so the thread title may be a bit off. Rather it appears to be across the road from Village St Jean (up the...

    Re: Last Night Buffet

Love, love Maya's. Always try to make it our final meal, although a seasonal closing and then Irma altered that for a couple of years.

    Re: Good 'Ol American Airlines!

Done both, flying out of ATL last year and can't say I noticed we difference with the SXM leg. Our problem was the <1 hr "layover" and the fact Delta kept tinkering with the incoming flight times....

Re: Jimny vs Ignis; Auto vs. Manual?

We did a Fiat 500 for about an hour, but been Jimny (auto, with plenty of downshifting) people ever since.

Re: Where Am I? - Take Nine

Had lunch at Francois last year. Loved the setting and thought the service was good. Food was just ok, especially given the prices. Didn't return this past May and probably won't next year.

2014. Both kids in college, I dusted off some old links about the Caribbean for our first couple vacation in 21 years. Settled on St Martin, but kept seeing St Barth in the discussion. Ended up with...

Re: Connection Help - SXM to SBH

To be safe, we always book the later flights with SBC, but in our experience, they will often send a plane if enough people are there to fill it. We frequently arrive on SBH around an hour early.

I do say it out loud. Starting to dislike them more than the scooters.
  14. Re: Another Night, Another Dinner. Where Was This One?

Don't think it's QG. Checked my pictures from May and our table and S&P shakers don't match.

Re: Fun With Food at La Repaire

Love Le Repaire. Always seems to be "Moules et Frites" day when we show up, so I never get to the actual menu.

Noticed a lot of the Jimny's this year didn't appear to have ever had a spare on back, including ours. Wondered why. Cost savings? Rash of thefts in previous years?
