    Re: St Barth Biodiversity Brochure

Environment should be much much higher on St Barth agenda.
The island just cant sustain its development and its carbon footprint must be awful as most resources have to be important or processed...

Hum, quite a gamble to come during hurricane season. Once, we were stuck on the island with the airport closed and crossing fingers that SXM ,that we could eventually reach with Voyager, would not...
  3. Re: Is les lauriers Lorient still in business ?

    Thanks,
Yes for sure les Mouettes is very nice. I still consider it as an option but we would like bit more privacy.

    Re: the rebuilding question

As St Barth is no more part of EU and dont pay taxes to France, it may be that the island is on its own to pay the repairs. By the way, most French tax payers wont like if public money is spent

  14. Re: Post-Irma Updates From The Collectivité, Le Journal

The quotes make a big difference. One island is "British" but independent, the other is French. Obviously, level of implication and finance from Britain and France is not the same.
  15. Re: I worry about how to get to SBH in the next few years

When the wind is not strong enough in SXM , max take off weight has to be reduced, hence the pit stop to refuel .

  17. Re: I worry about how to get to SBH in the next few years

Pirate, SXM will reopen soon for sure but Waynek is talking of tourist traffic and tourism in general. I would agree with him that it could take months or years for some hotels to reopen, meaning...

Re: How St-Barth Voted in First Round

I am not sure 100% but I think that in 2012, Hollande came 1st, well ahead of Sarkozy. Could it be that F Fillon is appealing to St Barths because of his very conservative stance ?
