    August 20 is the Fete in Flamands, and as Dennis notes the 24th is the Fete de St Barthélemy on the main dock in Gustavia.

    Frankly the sargassum issue is much more of a problem than some seaweed piling up on the beach.. it cannot be dismissed lightly. and should be treated at the cause not the symptom IMHO.
