    Actually, the new requirement of the test beforehand goes into effect on July 10, so there are still a few days to arrive and get tested upon arrival... clear as mud!

    You realize that the local rules have changed since this article was published and you now need negative test results from within 72 hours before your flight. You cannot come without that and expect...

    It might be free or very reasonable, but I doubt you want to stay there, it's the dorms they built for visiting sports teams, very rudimentary! So if you come it's wise to practice social distancing...

    There are at least 100 houses under construction at the moment, of various sizes, sadly some of them look like small hotels. Unbridled construction cannot do the island any good in the long run......

    I bought a nice fino (I think in the US they call it sea bream) the other day, 2 kilos.. the fisherman made two very nice filets and Rosemond enjoyed the head as well (mostly the eyes!)

    A little extra time is never a bad thing, as I have discovered over the years, especially if your flight from the States is late.. or if you have checked baggage... I wouldn't cut it too close these...

    As I understand it, the French side of St Martin (unlike St Barth) is sill part of the European Union. So as long as the EU bans flight from the US, it seems as if SXM - Juliana - will do the same....

    The Dinzey House is more commonly known as Le Brigantin, on the far side of the port... recently sold to the Collectivity of St Barth.... and the urn resides at the Wall House Territorial Museum......
