I have stayed at Les ondines in the grand cul de sac and loved itBaie des Anges is great! Very old school, clean, comfortable and right on the beach. Also, excellent restaurant on-premise!
It is nice . . . modest & affordable, with a great location.I have stayed at Les ondines in the grand cul de sac and loved it
Stayed there May, 2024. Maybe 4-5 other rooms were occupied. Closest thing to the "old St Barts" feel. Basic. Nice place with good staff that were happy to assist in our various reservations around the island. Easy parking in the gravel lot, although the long drive to access is narrow and through a residential area. (You'll swear you're heading down a dead-end alley.) Restaurant is very good and affordable. Very clean rooms, but the facility is in need of a little paint touch up here and there. (Maybe they've done that already) We'd stay there again. Tip: buy some bug spray.Anyone have any insights on Baie des Agnes in Flamands or suggestions of a boutique resort on beach?
Le Sereno's dining room isn't inexpensive, but it's a beautiful scene -- lovely room & "killer" view, with great food and service!Bart, you missed that other expensive bargains, Cheval Blanc and the soon to be new and improved Le Sereno. For the discerning guest who doesn’t mind dropping a few thousand € a night.![]()
I haven’t stayed there, but have been in the rooms & know a number of people who make it their extended rental home ( 4 - 6 weeks) on the island, Quiet . . . WOW views . . . something of a “fraternity” among regularly-returning, extended-stay visitors . . . many (all?) units have “kitchenettes.” Definitely Old St. Barths!Auberge de la Petit Anse has always fascinated me, though I'm a dedicated villa renter. Tucked above the island's tiniest and arguably prettiest beach, it is inexpensive, and appears unpretentious. Anyone ever stayed there?
How about Saline Gardens? It looks like Old School SBH.Anyone have any insights on Baie des Agnes in Flamands or suggestions of a boutique resort on beach?
You would not want to be there right now. Petite Anse is completely fouled with sargassum. I posted a picture on another thread and the bay there is basically dead as though red tide swept in. The stench is over powering. Normally I would agree with you but with the current situation I would stay far away. Though the sargassum doesn’t care about cost of the hotel when it deposits itself on a beach. The beach at Guanahani is basically unusable right now even with daily attempts to clean it up.Tucked above the island's tiniest and arguably prettiest beach
This message caused me to re-examine the initial post . . . which asked about a "boutique resort on the beach."How about Saline Gardens? It looks like Old School SBH.
