About 5 years ago we were on the early flight from SJU to SBH on Tradewind, flew in afternoon before so needed place to overnight. Asked the Forum well in advance for info about the hotel at airport with similar responses to those posted so far on this thread. So full speed ahead, how bad could it be asked this admitted 'hotel snob." After finding the hotel itself due to poor signage & being greeted poorly by the 2 people behind the desk that was alot higher than I am in height...checking us in this duo spoke in Spanish, gave us the key so off we went to find out that the room was across from the elevators, the dining room for lunch/dinner, not breakfast, & as we soon discovered on the other side of the headboard of the bed was the public rest room where we could hear the 'business' being done & the flushing aftermath. So a call to the manager who too me around on other floors to select another 'brand new room' that was new with a 'king sized' bed...was not a king, only a queen. Clock not set to the correct time, bathroom shower had not quite been completed & the bed itself was not attached to the wall so if we moved, it moved. The dinner was an ok bar dinner that took forever to receive & there were very few others in either room. Breakfast...elsewhere, & negligible. Have never stayed in a hostel, but based on the other people we saw, they had. Needless to say, but I cannot recommend based on our horrible experience unless a FS or RZ manager has taken over this property.
