Diana- What do you use the cistern water for?stormy night, wind was not too bad, but lots of rain. cistern overflowed for the first time since Eloi built the house in 1973. very surprising, we switched to cistern water this morning. still raining right now, should diminish soon.

One noisy night for sure!
We are safe and dry and planning for an indoor day. A good book, some good tunes, and a Nap all sound good.
PS-Bambi Blue Eyes, Bert and Ernie all here for breakfast.. Life is good in Lurin.
Benson here as well-king of his domain.
Is there’s filter between the cistern and the faucetswe always turned on the cistern water when they shut off the town water for any reason. also after the hurricane in 2017, it was a lifesaver as no town water was available for quite some time. use it for cooking, showers, etc. we are now on cistern water after last night. this is so odd as the cistern is huge, so surprised it overflowed.

no filter, we do add clorox every so often. we boil any water before using it for cooking. most of the time for cooking we use bottled water anyway.
