I am sure ed received the correct test, ed is very smart. he does not have to be on this website to know what test to get for entry to sbh. I just thought since Izzy had already made her views known on this thread, it seemed a little overboard to for her to say that Ed might have received the wrong test. the airlines won't let you on the plane if the test is not correct for where they are taking you. tradewind airlines looked over my paperwork thoroughly. however at the sbh airport, first my passport was stamped before the test results were even looked at . Then I went to baggage claim where there were two people waiting for me, one who took my temperature and the other who looked at my test results. all he did was count on his fingers that my test results were within the 3...

Jeanette, iittala is a Finnish brand, my plates resemble dewdrops per what I read online, this design began in '64, stopped production in '88. Only $37.75 each today ! not as much price appreciation as the $5 Lalique salad plates I have too. The glasses a wonderful reminder of our little paradise !

Ed hasn’t been online much during the new changes and I commend Izzy for making sure he is getting what he needs for his annual stay. Lots of confusion on testing these days and it is necessary to do it right.

A nasal source for the sample does not indicate whether a PCR or an antigen test was done - nasal samples are used for both. This is detailed in the "find out more" link to an FDA document on the website of the office that you visited.

Tropik-FM is usually a pretty good source. They often post the text of a Prefectual order or ARS document, as well as the PDF. For longer documents, such as this one, the text makes it easier to copy-and-paste into Google Translate, which often does a better job than Facebook's translation. Here is Google's translation, with a few minor edits for readability: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS on the decree of October 19 prescribing new measures necessary to deal with the covid-19 epidemic in Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin Is it compulsory to wear a mask in Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy? Yes, the wearing of a mask is compulsory for anyone from eleven years old in all the streets where there is a business, an educational and administrative establishment. It is also mandatory in...

The test is the nasal one. I took the anti-body one as an option just for me to see if I already had it and did not know it.

FWIW. My passport renewal was accepted on 8/18/20. Today I received this info: The U.S. Department of State has received your application for your passport book on 08/18/2020. We're now reviewing your application and supporting documents. You requested routine service when you applied, which we are currently processing in 10-12 weeks.

Cass, calm down and focus on your next trip to that isle when all these restrictions are unnecessary. Might be are year or so, but why all the angst for yourself and we rule followers?

Hi Nancy. We had our final family dinner at Orega last July. My daughter loved those glasses so much that she purchased a set while sitting on the runway in SXM. They arrived from Amazon a day or so later and serve as an ongoing memory of the island.

I had been to St Barth many, many times as part of a couple or a group prior to my first solo visit and paid no attention to how we got where...I just rode along blissfully ignorant. I was reading Le Weekly (en Francaise) at Choisy one morning, planning my route to "Corossol" on the map inside the issue. Obviously, I had to ask a patron for assistance as "Corossol" was no where to be found. Alas, the name on the map was "Soursop". I've never forgotten it.

One thing that surprised me is the apparently lax enforcement of the requirement for visitors to take a test on the 8th day. When I arrived at the airport, I asked about where to get my Covid test on the 8th day. The person I asked said, "Don't worry, you don't need another test." I said, "I think I do. We are staying more than 7 days." After some back-and-forth, he understood, and handed my a flyer about the testing center in Gustavia. He also asked me to write my name, my email address, and the location of where we are staying on a document provided for that purpose. But I got the impression that none of this information would have been collected if I hadn't insisted. Moreover, we never got an email on the 7th day, reminding us to get tested on Day 8. All this leads me to wonder,...

ARS should put you to work while you are busy pacing the cage... CDC also factors hospital bed and ventilator availability as secondary criteria into the alerts - i have no idea how they would weigh on-island (0 ventilators, i believe) vs. referral center (Guadeloupe and St -Martin) information.

That's an awesome summary Kevin. That could be it. If so maybe it drops back down with the next report or maybe they look at the trend of the last month or two and see that it's still pointing up
