Went to Les Bananiers for first our day lunch due to all the recommendations. Escargot was divine, Pizza - chèvre, miel and pine nuts - good not great . Pizza base at Isoletta more to our liking. Service on point. Probably wouldn’t make a special trip back. Best for us this trip Le Papillon Ivre. Love Tapas style. Will be on our list next year again.

We stayed in Pelican Beach several times. At the end where it makes a turn there is a sewer chase from the street to the water.

I remember swimming from Filao out in front of Eden Rock over to 'Ti St. Jean' (we always called it Pelican Beach) after a rain about 30 years ago. When I got back some of the hotel staff were concerned that I swam over there after a rain. They said the water over there could be very bad and cause ear infections. They attributed it to runoff.

SAUR press release The situation had improved a little this weekend. The two reservoirs were able to be filled and the water was able to be distributed over almost the entire island (water towers in only a few sectors), with lower consumption on Sunday. This morning, the consumption exceeded 250m3/h and the two tanks emptied in a few hours. SIDEM had to repair a breakdown on the barrel and clean the filters generating an average production of 170m3/h for a consumption of 190 to 200m3/h on the supplied sectors. Water production is currently at full speed but if other technical problems were to occur on the network, they could naturally have an impact on distribution. The community therefore maintains the free water distribution system in the Com car park and calls for solidarity....
