Sorry, I was focusing more on what was mentioned above about testing positive for such a long period ("A person will test positive for 90 days from original test.") and how that could impact flying "home" if travelling through SXM. If you quarantine for 14+ days but need to be tested to transfer through SXM and you are still testing positive, I wonder how that will be handled even if you prove you quarantined for 14+ days. Will they allow you to fly that route while still testing positive?

Rapid nasal swabbing--the most important is rapid processing. Ask first how long it will take to get the hopefully negative results back to you

As travel begins to increase I see places popping up in my area for rapid PCR testing. $500 for 24 hour and $300 for 48 hour. Drove by yesterday morning and there must have been 30 people in line at 9:00 AM.

We are faced w the same issue and live in the same area in the lower Hudson Valley. We are flying Jet Blue to SXM and this sounds promising. It’s saliva PCR not nasal. Hopefully it will be acceptable We have until February. http://www.insidertravelreport.com/jetblue-plans-a-new-at-home-solution-for-covid-19-tests?fbclid=IwAR1BZldxGvPhgQUXxgJs4KGxGXzOvhhyTVFSFOugOmUaYaW0vLAJfgTEE5w

Thanks, Dennis. It's a photo I've had for a long time, but it always shows me something new. It's also one I won't do smaller than an 18x22 image area. There's just too much detail that gets lost at smaller sizes. PS- The response to it, here, has been strong. I plan on having a few more printed at my lab.

I have made some posts about this..most hospitals in NYC are turning around same day. You need to find a doc affiliated to make an appointment. Or use a concierge service that charges $500 per test...

Not good! “. . . the timeframe for sampling and results within three days is difficult to meet in metropolitan laboratories, depending on the region where one is located. This could encourage fraud: it is very easy to make a false positive Covid test, or even to buy it from the smart guys who sell it ...“

Beautiful . . . but, truthfully, this copy doesn’t do it justice. The photo hangs in my office where I see it many times a day. Its nuanced colors & vibrant imagery are breathtaking . . . not a day passes without me pausing to soak-up this unique & finely detailed St. Barths memory (“souvenir” in French). With only one copy remaining, the buyer will have a treasure.

We're getting ready for a visit to the island in mid-November. It looks like St. Barths still has the 72-hour requirement for a RT-PCR Covid test. We have not been able to find any location in Connecticut that can provide test results in under 72 hours. (There are many, many places doing the rapid antigen test, but that does not appear to qualify.) Has anyone in the tri-state area -- New York, Connecticut, northern New Jersey -- found providers that can turn around the required PCR tests in less than 72 hours (in reality, more like 48-56 hours given early morning flights)? I know people are making it to the island from the States, and there are only so many airports to fly in from...so how are fellow travelers tackling this one? Thank you and merci beaucoups!

One of my favorites. I tend to remember the ones I worked hardest to get. I set up for that view at least 10 days before everything aligned for this photo. I saw all the shadows, the clouds, and the warm light on the rockface when I took it. Didn't notice I was lucky to get the plane through the gap in the trees until I had it on the lightbox.

Yeah, that one is my favorite. I have it in the limited-edition Humongous Size. It hung on the wall across from my office desk for years. Now, it's at home, waiting for transport to a new location in NC. I remember everything that you told me about that photo, and have retold the story many times over the years.

Per the WHO and CDC, 14 days would be more than enough for isolation and other precautions to be discontinued if you don't develop symptoms after a positive screening PCR.... but as anyone with a comfort squirrel can attest, airlines may set their own policies....

THE CIRCULATION OF THE VIRUS IS PROGRESSING ON OUR ISLAND by Valentine Autruffe 09/30/2020 A good 20 active cases is not huge in itself, but it is far superior to what Saint-Barth has experienced so far. The virus circulation indicators, which determine the restrictions decided by the authorities, are closely scrutinized. Saint-Barthélemy now has 48 cumulative cases of Covid-19 (as of September 23), and notes a recent increase in the circulation of the virus with sixteen cases recorded in two weeks. These figures come from the latest epidemiological bulletin from Public Health France.

Overnight, the requirement for “compelling reasons” for travel between Guadeloupe and SBH has been dropped. https://www.journaldesaintbarth.com/actualites/transports/finalement-bis-pas-de-motif-imperieux-entre-saint-barth-202009301503.html From Le Journal, translation by Google; FINALLY (BIS), NO IMPERIOUS REASONS BETWEEN SAINT-BARTH by V.A 09/30/2020 We’re getting lost! Yesterday, September 29, the prefecture of Guadeloupe announced in a press release on its website: “As of next week, travelers from Martinique, Saint-Martin, Saint-Barthélemy and Guyana will have to justify an overriding reason for professional, health or family travel.
