I've rented up the hill near the hospital and walking up that hill every time you need your car woudn't be so fun... tritter95, have you asked your villa rental agency about parking? We rented Villa Harbour Loft for the Bucket Regatta a few years ago and endedup cancelling after the agency misreprsented that a large yacht could park out front and block our view of the harbor.

LE JOURNAL DE SAINT-BARTH LE CARNAVAL WILL NOT TAKE PLACE & by Antoine C.R. A 20/01/2021 The Covid-19 pandemic and culture do not really mix. After the film, theater and book festivals in 2020, it is the Carnival's turn to be withdrawn from the program for the beginning of the year 2021 by decision of the Collectivity. No float or costumed parade or Brulé Vaval this year, therefore. The reactions were not long in coming. Jocari Bapin, president of the Carnival Committee expresses deep disappointment regarding this cancellation: “After an interview with the Collectivity concerning the Carnival parade, the President of the Collectivity as well as the President of the CESCE (economic, social, cultural and environmental council) de Saint-Barthélemy are unfortunately forced to give...

Since everyone has graciously taken the time to respond, I have a few other questions on unrelated topics. Is it appropriate to ask on this thread or better to initiate new threads?

Such a delightful read. Thank you for posting. Good to be able to laugh again. Read some old articles written by this brilliant comedic guy and think he is a national treasure. I believe that LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE as endorsed by the Readers' Digest magazine for years.

Dave posted this article on his Twitter feed today in memory of the “old days” of inaugural festivities. It’s still as funny today as it was back in 2009! It is a great honor to march in an inauguration parade. So when a group I belong to called the World Famous Lawn Rangers of Amazing Arcola was selected to march at Barack Obama's inauguration, our reaction, as Americans, was: ``The organizers of this parade must be smoking crack.'' I say this because we are not a traditional marching unit. We are an extremely random group of middle-age guys who carry brooms and push specially decorated show lawn mowers, which we use to perform synchronized broom-and-lawn mower maneuvers that always get a big crowd reaction (usually: ``Huh?''). As you can imagine these performances require intense...

Perhaps that is what is done - the cleaning of the table etc. Let's let a new poster go and try to play. What harm could that cause?

the island is required to be covid concerned. if there were a pool table available at any establishment on the island, the pool balls/cue sticks/entire table would need to be cleaned between the various players. I agree the island is a welcoming place . the very reason that I live here.

My old and often repeated PSA: 1. Spend money like it is your own. It is. 2. Do what you like, when you like. It is your vacation. 3. Eat what you want, when and where you want. It is your waistline and (see #1) 4. Drink what you want when you want. If your spouse likes red and you like white, buy one bottle of each. Life is short.

If it were my first time on St Barths, no pool except the kind with water in it for me...there's so much more to do ! Once you're there, you'll understand. So get out there & enjoy the island & all it has to offer especially outside ! And please post your thoughts after your return home. 20 + visits for us, still counting.
