Hi
I'll make a Part2-report later, but this is just a few quick highlights and tips
* do rent a car, and travel basse-terre, the left wing * go through the rainforest/national park * walk up to one of the waterfalls, cascade au ecrevisses is very close to the road, small but very pictoresque, there are others if you feel up to it * visit le jardin créole outside st rose, do the guided tour - and you must try their hot chocolate, made with garden products - it's to die for! La vie et belle :) * if you visit les saintes/terre de haut, leave the main road, walk some of the residential roads. walk up to baie marigot and you have a beach on you own... at least we did * try zoo rock café in gosier. we had a wonderful night there. ask to sit in the garden, it's like sitting at picknicktables in the jungle. We had the swords and they were great, moist chicken, baked potatoes, salad, 5 sauces * visit plage st anne. it's not secluded, but great all the same. shade or sun, breeze, great sandy ocean bed. a beach for the whole family, but as it's long, it has so far not been crowded
have a great time,
/K
