We like South Beach (have stayed at Tides and Raleigh) and it's supposed to have a similar vibe. We're thinking of a 2 or 3 day stopover on the way to SBH. Incredibly, I was able to come up with a US Air itinerary that was only $20 more to stop over. We're in at 11:30 from Boston, and can be in SBH by noon when we continue the journey a few days later.
