Today's Anguilla Restaurant is Bananas By The Sea, located on Mead's Bay next to Blanchards (about a one minute walk from Malliouhana).
The resto is about a year and a half old, run by a former St Martin restauranteur who decided to give Anguilla a go. It is bright by day, cute as a button and wonderfully romantic at night. The food is very, very good and the menu is an imaginitve blend of french and creole. I particularly enjoyed the mahi stuffed with crab and shrimp. It was The Bomb.
The staff are wonderful, the view is out over the ocean and the attire is casual. By day, folks walking in from the beach are welcome in a nice coverup. By evening, shorts and sandals are very much acceptable.
Folks I REALLY like this place for both lunch and dinner. Anyone on that part of the island needs to give it a try. You have lunch and while mom and dad linger over a glass of wine, the Little Guys go play in the ocean.
Bananas scores a Two Yums Up from a man who knows food.
