Mon ami,

Congratulation on #5,000. I was telling folks at Le Select tonight how much the Forum has meant to me in forming new friendships and none more special than the one I share with you. I look forward to seeing you and your lovely wife and meeting your daughter. Have a safe trip down.

Le Select? Twice in one week ? Carefull, Tim. They have terms for such behavior!

Marty,

We missed you and Cassandra last night as Marius(I expect with Lloyd's assistance) truly rolled out the red carpet for DebTor and other SBHonliners. Champagne was popped at Le Select, toasts were made, and a good time was had by the 20 or so in our group. T'was indeed a fabulous soirée.

We dodged the bullet on ice and got instead more drifting snow and sleet. The bad news? The furnace is out :-(
This is developing into an excellent preparatory week for a trip South :-)

Tim,

Sorry we missed that one. But, now that you are on a roll and sure to be at Select again tonight, please, give the gang a big "sveiks" from us!

Went for a walk tonight with the dog and smoked a fine cigar.

Even when not in St. Barth, nothing like a great smoke on a fine night. May I ask, what'd you smoke?

Funny thing is the power of smell memory. Its hard to describe but yet unmistakable like the Aroma of a fine cigar.
I have long practiced and enjoyed using smell memory. Its a vey physical experience. If you've never done it. Try to recall the aroma of JEK's cigar. or something easier. The thanksgiving turkey cooking. Or the smell of salt air at saline. I would hate to lose my sense of smell.
