must say this as no one i've seen has ever commented on it. our last hike to colombier witnessed at least 4 fully nude couples on the beach from one end to the next and one nude couple in a boat close enough to shore for us to notice extracurricular activities aboard! i assume a good time was had by all. rocky and jennifer

The nudity/clothed/partially clothed situation can vary significantly from day to day on Saline, Gouverneur, and as you've posted, Columbier. Sounds like you hit it on a day when the natives were feeling frisky. By your post you may have just increased the pedestrian traffic on the trail to Columbier, but that's okay. Most folks, after feeding and imbibing on St. Barth, can use the exercise.

In Dave Barry's hilarious column about our favorite isle, he suggested that French people go naked on the beaches. There's no question that some French people do indeed go nude on the beaches, but I'd be willing to bet that more Americans practice total nudity on St. Barth than French. Anyone have opinions on this important internatinal matter or done a census of nekkid bodies down here recently?
