Yes, that's definitely what did it for me. But at least my geography skills seem to be intact ;-)

Wait, before we rush to judgement, let's make sure it's not Ireland....you know, with the stone fences of Grand Fond and all...;)

Good point. After all, it does look mighty lush and green. I also remember seeing a leprechaun or two after too much rum at Andy's....

Jean -

Re-check your charts. I'm with the ladies on this one. The photo appears to have been taken prettymuch looking down the length of Toiny towards Morne Rouge. From the Eastern end of Toiny, the photographer's vantage point, that means that the angle is looking generally Southwest, maybe a touch South-Southwest. The only islands there are Statia and Saba. Antigua and Barbuda are Southeast from the East end of Toiny. The profile of Statia doesn't change much, no matter where on St Barth you see it from, and that two-humped island sure looks like Statia to me.

Although we do make most of the island on each trip, we do start most days early on Saline for a champaign bkfst.....then into town(?) to St Jean because it is so calm to relax before lunch at Le Select....so here is a typical wonderfull day......Starting with two photos of the entrance to Saline..the first in 2002 and I beleve the second was in 2006....as you know, it never seems to change (that's why we love it) then the next is of Saline to the right and then to St Jean and on to lunch.
