The Villa Von Furstenberg looks intriguing -- I would be interested in any feedback. But what's with the blood-splattered portrait in the living room??
Any comments on Villa Vue Des Isles?

It's all a matter of personal taste but IMHO Villa Von Furstenberg looks not so great. The pool is very small and appears to be in shade, which would make it cooler than if in sun. The furniture looks dark, uncomfortable and out of place. Who wants to sit on leather in the tropics? There are no bedroom shots which would concern me and finally I can't imagine using that bathtub everyday.
Villa La Vue des Illes has a better site here http://www.st-barths.com/villa-vue-des-isles/. There are more photos. I have corresponded with the owner who was lovely and I meant to go see this house when I was last on the island but was so entranced with where we stayed that I never made it there. Maybe in December I'll take a look. But I think it looks lovely even if it does have a leather couch too!
