I've googled this area a few times and have been surprised that Andy's is that far from the beach. Feels much closer (except for the parking lot, of course!).

JasB -
For the Euro symbol hold down the Alt key, type the numbers 0128, and release. Should be easy for you to remember - Route 128, stick a 0 in front. Unless your a Boston Newbie, and think of 128 as I-95.

For Mac types (from Bar de L'oubli WiFi, where we are enjoying omelets!)
To use the Character Palette: Open the application you want to type in, and place the insertion point where you want the special character or symbol to appear. Choose Edit > Special Characters to open the Character Palette, or click the Input menu icon in the menu bar and choose Show Character Palette. Choose the type of characters you want to see from the View pop-up menu at the top of the Character Palette window.

I am at work Mike and using Explorer and it doesn't work. Not that it matters that much- "E" is fine.

You have to use the numbers on the numeric keypad to the right of the letters, not the numbers above the letters. You also have to keep holding down the Alt key while you are entering the numbers.

Actually my wife used to think that until she starting meeting everyone. She thinks this is a super crowd. One caveat- she never met MikeR. LOL.
yeah but you have and so know the difference between the perception and the reality...LMAO...the funniest thing I've heard from in here was one day I was sitting in Select with eddie talking to him about his shows and his consequential interactions with onliners....and he said to me "you know what is one of the most asked questions I get?".....I said no....and he said it was - "so whats Mike R really like?".....LMAO...I thought at first he was joking only to find out he wasn't.....surely there are far more important things to talk about then that!!!!!.......
he never told me what his answer was.......LOL

Some laptops have numbers on some of the letter keys to substitute for the numeric keypad. Look for both a letter and a number on some of the keys. For example, my ThinkPad can use the J-K-L keys for 1-2-3. There are a few more keystrokes needed in order to enter the Euro symbol on such a laptop.
Shift-NumLk to turn on Number Lock for the keyboard, Alt-0128 (which maps to Alt-MJK8 on my keyboard) to enter the symbol, and then Shift-NumLk again to turn off Number Lock and return the keyboard to the normal letter function.

Yes I know but I also have a regular keyboard next to me so it's easier than going thru that exercise. I am using 2 screens for split viewing.

This could also be a Mac-thing (I don't have a PC nearby to check) but on all my keyboards
shift-4 gives you the euro sign ctrl-3 gives you the £ poung sign ctrl-4 gives you the $ dollar sign
Perhaps ctrl-4 gives euro sign on the US-type keyboards?
