"Okay, my client gets the house, some alimony, the jewelry and the cars. Your client can have the ski condo and the nothing little shack in the caribbean called Maison Dumpyfrump. If everyone is in agreement, I think we're good here".

And it was even an unbaited hook that landed a catch.

Petri: You can never stop The Determined Pest. Fortunately, they are not TOO big a problem on St Barths - at least (Oh God, this is Miker bait) not during the off-season.
What you can stop is The Accidental Touristas.
"Wow honey, look at this neato map they handed out on the ferry from St Martin. It shows where all the stars' houses are. You want to take the guided bus tour with the guy shouting over a loudspeaker or just rent a car and go snooping around on our own?"
We are not talking about marking somebody's home. We are talking about marking rental properties.

Skeeter: If an agency were to do it, and control who could add tags, that might be one thing.
If WE were to do it, God help us all.
LOL.

BTW: I am not opposed to it. But if someone wants privacy and thinks this would be an issue, then I respect that.
I am getting good enough with Google earth now, and know the island well enough now, that I can usually spot my upcoming rentals with a little effort.

We bought the map in Los Angeles and still we couldn't manage to party with Paris or Britney, bugger.
Now that there are plenty of Gendarmerie on the island, perhaps they can jail all the paparazzi -- the french take privacy more seriously, if I'm not mistaken..

The entire discussion here makes me more inclined to forget the idea of renting a villa and instead just to stay at IDF or Guanahani. With those places, I may pay a few dollars more, but I know what I am getting.
You'll be getting 18 euro (somebody help me with the euro symbol here, please) beach cocktails (although the beach towels are free!). Do they let you provide your own cocktails, wine, cheese, etc. there?
