Curious, on an island as small as SBH, where everybody knows each other, why it took them 3 months to catch the woman? Were the authorities working on the premise that it was men perps all this time?

Le samedi 16 Juin les gendarmes ont interpellé une jeune femme d’une trentaine d’années, soupçonnée d’avoir commis une cambriolage dans une maison du Gustavia au mois de Mars dernier. En effet, cette personne avait été contrôlée su les lieux du vol et avait donné son identité, depuis elle était introuvable. L‘affaire aurait été classé si elle n’était pas venue porter plainte contre son concubine pour violence car celui-ci, sous l’emprise de l’alcool, lui avait brûle une partie de ces affaires. Les gendarmes ont pu faire le rapprochement et ont signifié à la jeune femme sa garde à vue. Elle a reconnu les faits et sera convoquée devant le tribunal correctionel le 5 Octobre prochain.

This language challenged friend tried an online-translator. Didn't make it a whole lot easier to understand...
On Saturday June 16 the gendarmes challenged a young woman of about thirty years, suspected of having made a burgling in a house of Gustavia in last Mars. Indeed, this person had been controlled known the places of the flight and had given her identity, since it was untraceable. The jist of the story is there - Burglarly, Love and lust, violence, alcohol, and arson, plus a little remorse as she heads off to jail.
Write it up as a story pitch, submit it to the television networks, and you could be in show business! It might not sell in Sweden, but that trashy stuff goes over big on US television.
