Any suggestions for 3-4 nights in Maine? We prefer B&B's, inns. Stayed in Bar Harbor 5 years ago, looking to go back to either there or someplace new. Like to hike, bike and kayak. Thanks!

The White Barn Inn is lovely (and the restaurant is the best in the state). www.whitebarninn.com

I concur on the WhiteBarn Inn...great place...but when are you going?...because if it is closer to foliage...the Fryeburg Fair in Maine rocks, and you may want to go a little inland to see the colors in all their glory

We particularly like Grey Rock Inn in Northeast Harbour, right next to Bar Harbour. Acadia National Park is right there and yet we are out of the Bar Harbour touristy area. Adam and Karl who run it with their mother know the hiking trails very well soif you are into hiking they are a great source of info. They have sent us on some wonderful hikes in the park. they have great breakfasts, and many of the room have fireplaces. We've booked for Oct to celebrate our anniv and hope that due to the late spring , we will have color around the middle of the month. Website is www.greyrockinn.com
