SteveL, I could not imagine a more private villa than Atalante. I only mentioned neighbors to let you know what sort of area it is in. Many of the villas on st. barth's even though they look private run alongside fairly busy(for st. barth's) roads. Atalante is on a road that juts out on point milou. Not only is it private but its location on the cliff keeps it mosquito free most of the time I would think.

Hi Steve,
Yes,we also did like GEA. it's similar to BOR, but not quite as luxurious. ZAZ has a very tiny plunge pool, according to Ellie at Wimco and is a small house and not too private.

We're close to a decision. The finalsts are:

Diaco
Danse du Soleil
La Mouina
Taniko
Chambord

If anybody has anything to comment on these, I'd be grateful.

At Villa Chambord, both bedrooms have 2 twin beds (pushed together to make a "king"). That's what I call a dealbreaker.

Laura:

I'd have to agree! We decided on Villa La Mouina. We'll be there the 2nd week of February. we're really excited to try something so different in the Caribbean. I promise to write a trip report, particularly emphasizing my view of how SBH compares with the other places we've been. Now I have 5 months to learn about restaurants, etc.!
