It's a good question DebTor and deserves a real response. There is NO doubt that St Barts has some wealthy residents - indeed there are some billionaires.
However, many of the multigenerational Barthians are "land wealthy" only. Sure, they sit on properties that could easily fetch a million plus, but they still may be fishermen, craftsmen or other men of somewhat modest means. To actually enjoy the wealth upon which their homes sit, they would have to move. Otherwise, they scrape by, some better than others, month to month like many of us.
Having said that, there are certainly folks on the island who could write a check that would be a mere rounding error in their account and cover this all.
This charity is more along the lines of taking a nice house-warming gift to a friend. Our generous host may not need a nice bottle of red wine, but we take it anyway out of affection and gratitude.
On the scale of Human Suffering and World Hunger, this charity is probably not at the forefront of importance. But it is a nice gesture to the wonderful people of St Barts.
"Charity" may be a fairly strong word. Perhaps "gift to friends" more fits the true intent here.
Merci.

Four nipples is an easy one - the embryonic mammalian milk line stretches from the axilla (armpit) to the groin and I have seen "breast disease" all along that line.

I was just disappointed that I could use the "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" line on one of the female members...
"Disease"?! nothing to worry about I hope.

You are welcome, Deb.
I know I speak for many both here and on the island when I say that the greatest gift you could give us all at this point is your smiling presence walking along the beach of St Jean.
And we look forward to that!

Nah. Not a problem. As Alan Jackson so elloquently sang, too much of a good thing, is a good thing.
