does/can anyone recommend a "vip" service that helps with luggage and immigration in st. martin? i think we are going to try it this yr as it was a bit much with our busy toddler last year. just curious if anyone loves a particular service--and actually find it a help.

The VIP service- Premium IV- will get your bags and bring them to your next flight so you skip immigration altogether. And if you want, they will take them in SBH and bring them to your villa or hotel. This is their website:

I take every opportunity that I can find to expedite my journey through SXM. While two people with a minimal number of bags, travelling mid-week, and with plenty of time between flights may not need a service, others find it beneficial.
I've used both SBH Services and Premium IV, and have only good things to say.
You should definitely explore the www.premiumiv.com website, as they offer additional services that may interest you, such as babysitters.
I'm currently working with Premium IV on some special things for my next trip, and they are very responsive and great to work with.
If you are flying on USAir (or possibly Delta) and Winair, and you have at least an hour between flights, then you can check your bags all of the way to SBH. If you are connecting on SBH Commuter then they will get your bags for you. In either case you can bypass immigration.
