Kinda cool seeing a daughter rawkin' out on dad's shoulders.

And if you folks weren't into Parliament, you clearly didn't play ball with the brothers. We almost tipped our bus over coming back from one game "turning the mother OUT".

LOL

Oh I love the swedish public service radio! We can broadcast anything we like. Or not like.

When I was a kid, I kept hearing "Turn that music down". Now, my parents request I burn 'em a disc of some of the same stuff when I visit. It's all one big cycle.........

Hey, we took #1 daughter to a Springsteen concert in the NJ Meadowlands/ Giant Stadium...at 26...talk about a hometown crowd.
Also the first time parents and kid had shared, uh, a controlled substance...pretty funny.

snuck into the Stone Pony with my older sister, on fake ID....when I was 17 to see Bruce and Southside Johnny...and before that I used to beg the bouncer to just let me stand with him at the door so I can listen To Franki Valli/Four Seasons at Pistol Petes in Long Branch....

We pretty much can too now. But not back in the early seventies. And besides, no one in Sweden would have a problem with:

I can't play my music
They say my music's too loud
I kept talkin about it
I got the big run around
When I rolled with the punches
I got knocked on the ground
With all this bull**** going down

because bull**** isn't a cussword in swedish.

Oh, BTW, props for giving us ABBA. Those ladies could sing. And they weren't eyesores either.

My 10 yr old ask me the other day if I ever "heard of" Tower of Power as if they were a new band.

I've seen it on AC/DC, Deep Purple and Judas Priest too. The kid-parent-thing is way cool. My dad, closing in on 60 now, actually digs some of the Priest-tunes :) Who would have guessed back in the 80's? But I do hope these bands give it a rest before they become reeeeaaally pathetic. I love them, but I would not like to see them go Ozzy.

What I really like is when a current band does a cover song, and a lot of them do covers, and my kids will tell me they heard a great new song. LOL.

"We all play with the same twenty chords" - Jeff Lynne, ELO

I think we all feel the same way. But what about the boys who haven't Gone Ozzy? Mick can still kick the everloving stuffing out of most of the kids on stage today. Why should he not get up there?
