Enjoy!!..there is no better scenery in any ski resort then from the top of Heavenly, when you are looking out over Lake Tahoe from the summit.....Since Vail Resorts has bought the place they have pumped millions into it and it shows.......if you want to really challenge yourself go to Killibrew Canyon and ski that...not for the feint of heart
and they have been getting dumped on pretty good too

I just read a piece about a restaurant; Wild Goose in No. Lake Tahoe(No. Lake Blvd) in Bon Appetit(Feb. issue)...said good views, best food in area. My son is head of the snowboard patrol on Sierra-at-Tahoe.....but he loves Kirkwood. Still haven't gotten out yet, hope to in March.......have a great time, its beautiful out there!!!!!LindaP

HiHo Janine & Martin,
Personally I'm a Mammoth Mountain fan but for you guys Reno is for sure an easier travel flight. Having made a couple of trips to Tahoe my favorite place(s) is North Star Heavenly and Incline Village. I have been disapointed each time I have gon to Squaw Valley by the slushy snow on the lower half of the mountain.
Go to www.skicentral.com for the latest fibbs in snow conditions, avoid the casinos and spend more time in the hot tub.
