the stretch of the Cape from Wellfleet, Truro and P Town...unquestionably has the nicest beaches on the Cape ( Race Point Beach, Long Nook Beach abnd Cahoon Hollow Beach are the best of the bunch )....nightlife is going to be winding down in October....but you can catch Willy and the Poorboys at the Governer Bradford....Joe Bones is a very good freind of mine and leads the band and is an ex Coral Reefer member for Buffett..also Sebastion Junger who wrote "Perfect Storm" is in the band as well......or Bubalas ( my favorite ) for great jazz.....and weather is magnificent in October... the Masthead in P Town is nice but a bit out of your price range ( Kevin S was recently there...he can comment )..I dont know too much about hotels as I liveon a boat there and prior to that, owned my own home, so I never stayed in them....P Town Inn is alright....Cape Inn is alright...both are in your price range....not much in the way of hotels in Truro or Wellfleet as they are mostly residential...if you go to Beach Point ( a sand spit betwen P Town and Truro on the bayside )..there are a ton of motels in your price range..the best of the bunch is definetly the Crows Nest which is where I would stay...my Mom stays there in the summer...right on the bayside beach...fireplaces...kitchens....the works..and very reasonable..if you can get a cottage at Days Cottages that would be cool too...that should give you enough to get started....any other questions just ask me.....I know that area inside out..I can give you restaurant suggestions as well.....when I lived there full time September/October was my favorite time of year...
