I am sure I am late to the party but I found a site that has virtual tours of many of the St. Barts villas. I booked through frenchcaribbean.com but used the virtual tours at paradiselodging.com to augment the info provided. For those who want to have all of the possible info before booking I would it check out.

I just went to paradiselodging.com to check something out and I believe they are having some data issues as no SBH villas are showing up...

Googling "St Barts" can be misleading. I have gone to a variety of sites with stale information. There are some that still call Manapany "the jewel" of the island and that list Eden Rock as "a bit run down and tired". Er, need to update the info, fellows.
Many that review Isle de France did so before their dazzling 2002 makeover. As such, they call it "quaint" and "modest". Er, dont think so.
The best scoop is, of course, right here. But there are some other sites out there that can be helpful. Alas, there are also some that are misleading to downright wrong.

You are absolutely correct...It is funny to read, "This brand new villa has been recently remodeled by the new owner, blah, blah, blah..." But when searching for a villa I like to look at the photos, even older ones and get a sense of what is there and what has not been shown. The lack of a photo showing what is just the other side of the pool at Plein Ciel, Sib CLI, lead me to google it. I found a virtual tour, that while maybe a bit dated did give me more information, which also might be dated but more info none the less.
But this site is by ar the most upto date and I must say the PMs I recieved from members regarding SIB CLI were very helpful.

In any fast-paced discipline, there are textbooks and there are journals. For some disciplines, textbooks can be current enough. A book such as "Igneous Rock Formations of Maui" probably is pretty accurate, no matter how dated, because there is not much new happening in the study of igneous rocks on Maui. On the other hand, a book such as "Great Teams Of The NFL" is out of date three years after it is written because all the players have changed.
I used to buy travel guides but got fed up when even the best would just photocopy their description of a place from the third edition and then use it for four more additions. Wrong, people. Caribbean resorts change too constantly for the same description to be applicable for multiple editions.
What we REALLY need is The Journal Of Caribbean Resorts. I am not talking about the travel mags that feature monthly articles entitled "The Next St Barts" extolling the vitues of the Dominican Republic. And I am not talking about magazines with teaser titles like "Islands Covered: St Barts" where you FINALLY find the paragraph they meant talking about "Drop Anchor In Columbier".
We need a REAL journal with hardhitting, fast-paced, accurate, experienced and timely info about the Caribbean that is updated by slews of reporters 24/7. Such a journal is the only chance of giving REAL accurate scoop in a timely and meaningful fashion.
I dont know about the rest of the caribbean, but this site is EXACTLY such a journal for St Barts. No professional trade journal could cover the waterfront more completely (or enthusiastically) than we do.

St Barth Properties does offer updated virtual tours on their web site that you can access by slecting where to stay and select SB properties. They do not offer a virtual tour for all properties, however it is nice to check out.
