We will shortly be in the official Hurricane Season, which runs from June 1 until November 30. Many people here have their favorite sites for tropical cyclone (that's what Tropical Storms and Hurricanes are called by meteoroligists) information. Here are three:
Palm Beach Post Storm 2005 site:
PB Post
There is a link on the PB Post site (Get Hurricane) that will allow you to get e-mails of Hurricane and Tropical Storm advisories e-mailed to you.
Weather Underground Tropical Weather:
Weather Underground
National Hurricane Center Tropical Prediction Center
NHC
Pacific Hurricane Adrian arrived early, before the typical start of the season, and came ashore on May 20 in El Salvador as a Tropical Storm. It has now dissipated into a Tropical Depression and is expected to further weaken as it moves offshore into the Caribbean. If it regenerates into a Tropical Storm or Hurricane it will become the first Caribbean/Atlantic storm of the year, and will be renamed as Arlene. The current expected track of the remnants of Adrian appear to take it over Cuba, well west of SBH.

As such, I thought I would move this forum back up to the top. Here is hoping for a quiet hurricane season.

Thanks Kara - Looks like some rain, but no hurricanes for the next week or so. Would be nice if we could keep June a fair-weather month, since it seems a lot of us are headed down SBH-way.

We just returned from Anguilla and SBH. It was very remarkable hot unusually hot it was with absolutely NO breeze at all. The water was very warm. We had locals on both islands tell us how they feared a bad season. Let's pray their instincts are wrong.

MikeR...When Karen and I were there it was extremely hot and except for the last nigth there was very little breeze..The water was great to me..I'd guess about 75 degrees but the lack of wind made dinning at times a little uncomfortable...

First time in St. Barth's in 2 days and foreign to storm tracker language. I know it's the season, but I hope the weather is still tame and warm. Any reassurance will be appreciated. :) :|

Other than the off and on tropical rain showers that might hit during the day you should have great weather..normally Hurricane season doesnt kick into high gear until late June, early July..Of course mother nature can make fools of us all but I would think you will have great weather while you are there
