We stayed in AMB for our 20th anniversary. We loved it enough to return this summer. Please feel free to pm me if you have questions.

Dandy-
Although I cannot speak for the other 2 villas you question, Ylang-Ylang and Kyody, I can speak for Kercliff. I just returned from my first trip to SBH last Sunday. My husband and I and one other couple stayed at Kercliff for one week. All I can say is W-O-W! It is perched HIGH atop colombier with just about 360 degrees of incredible views of St Martin as well as Flamands beach, Colombier beach, and sprawling vistas of St Barths mountainside. The house was fantastic. There is a main house (2BR) and a guest bungalow (1BR). These two buildings are separated by a pool. My husband and I stayed in the main house, and the other couple stayed in the bungalow...it worked out perfectly. The entire piece of land is COMPLETELY private. No one can see you at all, since you are pretty much the highest villa. Haute maison is right next door, but the trees and landscaping keep them completely private.
The house was decorated beautifully and I can't recall anything we 'wished we had'. The villa has a pool, a fantastic jacuzzi(with absolutely amazing views!), american satellite TV (and Sirius radio), internet hookup, a treadmill, top of the line applicances, a grill...I can go on and on.
Have you looked at the actual kercliff website yet? I can go on and on about my kercliff experience, but need to go back and do some work for a bit.
I have some pictures I can send as well if you'd like I keep meaning to write a trip rreport, but trying to get back to reality has preveneted me. Even though I've only been to St Barth's once...I feel I can officially say I am 'in between trips'. Next to my honeymoon (French Polynesia), it was the best trip we've taken (and I thought I loved St John!) and I cannot wait to return (can you please take me with you?!).

Thank you for your info! It look stunning from their website and I have emailed with the owner. You mentioned a jacuzzi? Really? Is the jacuzzi outside? That would definatley be an added perk...and a treadmill? Awesome! Your info has really helped me out. It sounds like your trip was amazing! I would love to see your photos. Feel free to pm them to me.

Dandy -
3-letter villa designations are usually Sibarth/WIMCO villas. For more information on one of them goto to the WIMCO.com website and enter SIB xxx in the Search box in the upper left corner. For villa AMB enter SIB AMB. Some villas are available through multiple agencies, and may have a different designation at WIMCO than they do at other agency websites.
Kyody is known on the WIMCO site as SIB KDY. I don't know if Kercliff or Ylang Ylang are available through WIMCO. I believe that AMB may be known as Micalao on the St Barths Properties website, if that is where you are looking. I am more familiar with the WIMCO designations.

Congratulations on the upcoming anniversary.
Take a look at REF, we stayed there several years ago. On the hillside, fantastic view overlooking Gouverneur beach. Two king bedrooms, huge bathrooms with indoor and outdoor(very private) showers. Wonderfully decorated, professional kitchen that is well appointed. Enormous deck area with huge pool. Fitness area with sauna on lower level.

It's breathtaking! The pool is huge! WOW! It's just a couple thousand dollars over our budget (we have one child in college and 2 in private schools)-SO...in order to enjoy all of the other luxuries that St. Barths has to offer such as the exquisite cuisine - we had to set limits.
Thank you for sharing the info and enjoy your trip next month!

Hi, Dandy --
I haven't posted here in some time but I miss the discourse about this lovely isle -- and I stayed in Kyody for half of my honeymoon last July. Kyody was our intro to St. Barths, and it made quite a lasting impression. This villa is very unique in style from most of the other villas on the island -- it's all one building and has a second floor. The pool is utterly unique and pretty much carved into a hillside of sun-absorbing rocks; the water is warm all day and night. The deck is huge, and there are many spacious alcoves in which to enjoy food, drinks, romance, etc., etc. The interior is also very large and cool and lovely. The owner is wonderful and knows the island inside out, and his caretakers are just as great to deal with. It's very private, boasts gorgeous foliage and has a stunning view over Grand Cul-de-Sac; we have photos of the sunrises we witnessed there, as well as all other aspects of this truly wonderful hideaway. Right up the road is the island's Poterie, where a sweet French couple makes gorgeous porcelain works that capture the beauty of the whole island. My husband and I spent much time just scouting around the villa grounds, with so many quaint nooks and crannies.
If you want to know more or you'd like a link to our photos, please PM me; I'm all too happy to share!
Regards, Sandy

Thanks for all of your helpful comments regarding Kercliff. I just made a reservation to stay there the first week of June with my husband for our 15th wedding anniversary. We stayed at Villa Les Gaiacs (on Petit Cul de Sac) for our 10th wedding anniversary and loved it. It was very private and well appointed. We wanted to try a different part of the island this time though, and I am eager to hear more about your Kercliff experience. I have read that the wind can be a problem - did you experience that? I have been to the Villa Kercliff webiste, but would also love to see your pictures too if you get a chance. Thanks again!
