We are staying in St. Barth's for our honeymoon, but flying into and out of St. Martin, so we've decided to spend 3 nights there also.
Where should we stay? The French side sounds better (I really have no idea...) and we've heard good things about both Grand Case, and Orient Beach. What about Marigot? Basically, what is the best location to be in?
Also, any suggestions on hotels ($120 range) are welcome.

Roger and I have been to St. Martin several times and always stay on the French side in Grand Case. Depending on what you want, Grand Case Beach Club is perfect. Right on Grand Case Beach and you can walk into the village of Grand Case within minutes and choose from a selection of wonderful restaurants. If you want something more "traditional" you can stay at Chez Martine. Its a restaurant, on Grand Case beach, that also has rooms available. They are large, but basic. Very clean with wrap around porches. Breakfast served every morning outside your door. I'm here if you have any more questions. But, definitely, stay on the French side. The Dutch side has its charms (albeit few). That's our opinion ! And by the way, Roger and I love fine dining. The restaurants in Grand Case are amazing, trust me !

We've enjoyed stays at Le Petit Hotel (Grand Case) and The Tropical Hotel (Orient Beach). Both are good values, though a bit more than you requested. The former is a better location for restaurants, the latter for its well-known beach.
