Boat trip or day trip to Saba???
      #25103 - 01/09/05 02:00 PM

I'm departing for St. Barth next Sunday, with my wife, for our third annual trip. I'm looking for something a little different to do. Maybe a boat trip around the island. Maybe a day trip to Saba (if flights are available; I imagine it's too far from St. Barth for a day trip via boat). She's not a scuba diver, so a trip to Saba would have to be worth the effort for other reasons. If anyone has any knowledge of these subjects, or has any recommendations, please let me know. Thanks much, in advance!

do Saba..and in high season there is a boat that goes there..the Voyager...but fly if you can......diving is great but the island is gorgeous and the people are wonderful.....and if you fly the landing will make St Barts landing look tame

my wife and I did a sunset cruise from Gustavia around past Saline and back on the Nuage III last january when we were there. It was breathtaking. Just us and one other couple on the boat.. Champagne and caviar provided, as well as Amstels for me :)

My wife and I went to Saba for a day trip 2 years ago by plane. Yes it is an exciting landing. Brice at St. Barth Services had arranged a taxi to pick us up and tour the island. There is a wonder trail up the mountain and through the rainforest that the driver suggested we take. He dropped us off part way up the mountain and we hiked to the top and then back down to town were the driver had suggested we have lunch. He then took us on a tour of the island. It is a beautiful island and the people are very friendly. One suggestion is take your hiking shoes. The depature from the airport was as exciting as the landing. Great day trip.
