Fifty euros for a picture of you and mom on Saline in bermudas with black socks, hard shoes and cameras around your neck. Seventy five if you have golf clubs.
You're a good egg, Noonan.

Hi, IV ! Oui, its French ! I wouldn't say casual, but definitely not over the top when it comes to how you dress. As for the restaurants in Grand Case, I have to be quite honest. I've not found any in St. Barts that compare to the dining experiences I've had in the many restaurants we've dined at in Grand Case !

Not wanting to be a party to injury I withdraw the offer and will replace it with a round of drinks on my tab at Nikki if we overlap on our visits.
Black socks are optional

I agree with Bill K.When you live in a place like Ottawa-you simply can't conceive of "wasting "a trip to SBH in the summer(both weeks!). We need to get away from that 30 below cold and snow(mind you, that's about 6 months here) Been going in February since '85.Wouldn't do it any other way

When you live in a place like Kansas City (St. Louis and Chicago prior), the temperature swing is truly appreciated in Jan/Feb as well! We have traditionally gone somewhere tropical during this time, "somewhere" that is until Finding Paradise! For spring and fall we have favorites in the US, but not warm enough for this Jayhawk during the terribly cold months. It seems as a group, this forum supports Paradise all year long! Carol

Did this wandering thread actually start with "tex-mex"?
Has the weather gotten so cold and horrible as to drive us all indoors to our computers to vicariously visit St. Barth?
Will this one go all the way to the magical 10,000 without the slightest mention of ne__idity?
How does one prevent one's friends from posting in a state of advanced inebriation?
For the answers to these and all other secrets of the universe....

Pass the jug of rhum with it and we make like those cinematic sages that were so formative to our young and malleable minds, Tye and Carl The Greenskeeper:

This thread is on page six with over 6000 hits so far and not even a single mention of nudity that I recall.
Miker says that 10,000 is The Magic Hit Number. Well, to reach that lofty goal, we have to throw in a bit of gratuitous nudity. And, given how off track we have gone in this thread, as is par for the course, I shall.
The ORIGINAL topic in the post was a Tex Mex restaurant. That would be relatively novel for St Barts. As I understand it, the prevailing food styles are creole, nouvelle cuisine with a french flair and gastronomique (Sapotillier). I know that La Gaiac has a German chef and his sampler did have a few nods back toward das muter country. Even so, I would not call it "German" food.
For someone who wants to break it down, what other styles of food can you get on the island? La Vela gives us Italian, Vietnam gives us, well, Vietnamese. What other choices for "ethnic" foods are there?
Oh, as to the nudity tickler to go over ten thousand hits, just think: It is 9:30 in the morning in St Barts as I write this post. That means there are nekkid people on the beach.
BdR!
(ten thousand hits, here we come)
