Hi Peter - My husband & I spent a week at Pink Sands last February and loved it. There is no night life (Pink Sands has a caribbean band at dinner most nights). The beaches are beautiful. Pink sands was wonderful, go to their website at www.islandoutpost.com. We reserved a 1 bedroom oceanfront and were upgraded to a 2 bedroom. The cottages are beautiful ours had a very large patio with lounge chairs overlooking the beautiful blue water. The Blue Bar has a fabulous view over the ocean and is a great place for lunch. It is not St. Barths (nobody is nekkid LOL), but very charming and great food. There are no cars, you can rent a golf cart to get around the island. . . Lots of fun! We flew to Nassau and took a private charter to N. Eleuthra, you can also get there thru Miami or Ft. Lauderdale. February was a little cool down there, I would suggest April thru December. Let me know if you need more information. Diane

Hi Peter - The weather was on the cool side, the water was not warm. You really have to go further south until April to get really warm weather. We did walk past the landing, it is not on the beach and is in the center of town. There is also the Rock House in the same area which we enjoyed several great lunches. We did not explore night life we enjoyed leisurly dinners at Pink Sands and would head back to our cottage. We did explore the available beach house rentals on the island. There are quite a few very nice houses available on the beach and are reasonably priced. If you go in that direction I would suggest packing a cooler with meats and staples as there is almost no shopping on the island. Let me know if you have any other questions. Diane
