We are down at our house on the Outer Banks and the rip tide is more fierce than I have ever seen. In a matter of 30 seconds yesterday, I got pulled 2 blocks up the beach. There were 2 drownings on the South Jersey shore yesrerday. For all those on the East Coast, be smart about the ocean for the next couple of days.

There must be a force field of protection around Burmuda 'cause Bertha can't quite push thru as yet. This may be where the high presure systems turn her out to sea.
