Does anybody know if there is a Greek Orthodox Church on SB? My wife is Greek (I'm still trying to figure out how she settled for a big dumb Irishman, but that's another matter) and we were married in a Greek Orthodox Church. I was hoping to surprise her by taking her to Mass on the Sunday that we will be in SB.

Eastern Rite Catholics are welcome to take communion in the Roman church, so don't be shy. I believe there is only one priest for the island - he appears to be Caribbean in origin but is not originally francophone. Mass is populated by an intiguing mix of clusters of portugaise women, a spattering of old men and women who appear to be of Breton descent, a few tourists, and misc. islanders. Be sure to confirm mass times in advance since the single mass for Sunday or Saturday Vigil or weekday mass skips around the island from village to village and time to time. We arrived for one Sunday mass at 8:30 in Gustavia to find an empty church but were told the schedule had been printed wrong, but we could make it to Lorient in time if we hurried. We followed an old island gentleman listening to the same story all the way to Lorient...on his scooter...at 25 MPH!
