If you are flying USAIR or any airline to SXM and booking the rest yourself- it's a given you are paying the tax. SXM requires all airlines coming in to Juliana to collect the tax. That's the reason you don't have to go to the Departure Tax window anymore- you have already paid it.
If you are using USAIR and buy a Winair ticket from them- they are charging you a $10 Intransit fee which is the new fee now.

Andy, Thanks for the info. We are flying down in 2 weeks on a ticket purchased with miles, but I also had to pay something like $127.80 in fees, which I suspect includes $60 for our SXM fees. Our connection is with St Barth Commuter. I wll have to try to get something from USAirways that breaks down the $127.80 for me so I can apply for a refund after we return. Thanks again. Jim
