That's pretty funny, but not surprising. Apparently there is just not enough affordable housing for people who are paid $10-15 per hour. One of the mountain towns (can't remember which one now) recently had the embarrassment of its city manager moving out of the town he managed because he couldn't afford to live there! Vail keeps talking about creating affordable housing for workers, but the value of the land is so incredibly high they can't afford to use it for low cost apartments. I don't know what the answer is. Boy, what would Eagle County do without "undocumented" workers???

I still shudder to think what someone paid for my VERY modest two bedroom 2 bath townhouse.....its out of control...they are not even that much effected by this housing slump out there....friends of mine who are building houses there are so busy they had to postpone vacations
