Hi, everyone.
This is my first post to the website. We just got back from 2 weeks in SB (our 12th trip there in 15 years). Before leaving, I'd found this website and read the posts about St. Barth Commuter charters. Since there were five of us, we took the advice of several on this board and went the charter route.
It was a most excellent experience! I did the reservation online (which does require an outgoing fax also, since you have to sign and fax back a form) without hassle. SB Commuter's instructions were perfect. We met up with them at the "Transit" gate (you know, that place you pass every time on your way to the immigration/baggage line in St. Maarten, and you WISH you were going there instead of having to deal with all the St. Maarten hassle?) We sat for a few minutes while THEY retreived our bags from the American Airlines flight, and off we went. No St. Maarten immigration, no nothing. Ten minutes later we were in St. Barths.
The price was within shouting range of what the five of us would have paid for Winair tickets.
All in all, it was a great way to get around the St. Maarten hassles on the way in. (And once I figure out where on the website to post my overall trip report, I'll tell you about the greatly improved St. Maarten piece of the trip home.

Hey Bob, spill the beans. Do you mean the way SBC whisks you through, or something else?
