Hi,
one of the last days in Ortigia I picked up a couple of bottles of wine in the local shop. They had only two types of Donnafugata, one white, and one red, so that's what I bought. Now, the red is Sedàra 2005, wich I found and read about on the Donnafugata website.
The other one is trickier, since it exists only on the Italian version of the website... My guess is I got some cheap tablewhine that they don't usually export. Fine by me, the Donnafugata Damaskino 2005 was only 7.50 Eur. It would be nice to know something about it though, as I'm planning to invite some friends over for an Italian evening.
Does any of you guys know of a good onlinetranslator, that might actually make any sense of wine-Italian? Or do you have time and skills to deschiffre some of the info for me? It would be fun to know what's in the Curiosità and Due ricette.
From the label of the bottle I know this much in English:
The wine accompanies hot or cold appetizers and introductory seafood dishes. Perfect with poached fish. Serve at 9-11 C (48-52 F).
And MikeR, it contains sulphites...
Any and all help appriciated!
/K

LOL
Next cold, I'll ask the doctor for some trout threads instead of aspirin
These online translators are fun, but a bit hard to understand. Seems the wine has been "sharpening in bottle at least 2 months" before sold. I won't bother to try and distinguish any oakflavours then...
Thanks Andy, I needed a laugh this morning

What? You don't like "bubbled fish"? Thought you would enjoy that translation.
