I just heard it was announced today that Vail will delay opening for a week -- from the scheduled 11/16 till 11/23. Their website is asying 11/21. What do they do for the folks with the packages they sold for the week of Thanksgiving?

they do nothing......there are weather disclaimers on every one of those packages...they give out board games and tell them "sorry"...most wont come anyway..it will be cheaper for them to lose the deposit..we open Saturday here in the east....not much terrain though

yes...whenever the weather gets really sh**ty in a peak time...the resort consierges will often call up our toy store and buy a whole bunch of board games from us to give the guests something to do with their kids....to soothe the savge beast....LOL
