I can't speak to global warming but I can say something about warm weather in the Vail-Beaver Creek area -- it's warm! Vail is supposed to open on the 16th and BC on the 21st. My wife got out to BC this afternoon and says there is snow on top of the mountain but not beneath the primary lift. Can't see how there will be any skiing there next week. High temperatures for the next few days range from mid-40s to mid-50s.

thats where Summit County has such an advantage......I heard A basin this week was pretty good....but its just under 14 thousand at the top...those few extra thousand feet make a huge difference

Vail and Beaver Creek are 11,570 and 11,440, respectively, and it does make a big difference. Not a problem for me, though, since I wouldn't ski on Thanksgiving weekend anyway. Too many people. Same thing Christmas week and Presidents' Weekend.
