We've been trying to get away for what seems to be FOREVER...but, with family illnesses (same issues as DebTor is dealing with and we wish her the best...after reading the forums you feel like part of a community) and so, we have not been able to....SO.....we are finally going to break free in December.....I would LOVE to be in SBH for Christmas (We have only been in SBH during the low season (for our honeymoon actually).....and we loved it...
I spend alot of time reading the forums (therapy) and searching for the perfect villa. Thus, I know that for the MOST part, the villas usually require a 2 week minimum during that time frame...But, I thought perhaps there was no harm in reaching out to see if perhaps someone had an idea as to where I may find a villa for less than 2 week minimum during that time frame? Thanks in advance, Staci

I don't think anything less than 14 days will fly for any WIMCO booked villa. Not sure about SBP. Availability will be an issues in any case as most places book a year in advance.

Thanks for the reply...I did some searching in the hotels and a couple did have availability, but we really did want a villa....I suppose, unless I luck out, that we can go right before Christmas...I can't wait to go back!!! And I thank you for all your input and knowledge on the forum...Always great to read!

Talk to Wimco or SBP. When we rented ours there were times when we took less than two weeks. Sometimes you can get the week right before Christmas for one week knowing that someone will take the two weeks right after Christmas. The week between Christmas and New Years is harder. As we are within a few months of the holiday now is the time to ask. Owners may be flexible as we get closer. Considering 10 days may help. Ultimately its the owners call, if the Villa is open, the agency will contact the owner and let them make the call. You may also get lucky with a cancellation scenario. Good luck.

Thx for your good wishes, Stacie. St. Barths healed my soul this year and I hope it does the same for you whether you are dealing with the issue or a family member. And yes, we are a community on this forum. Glad you've joined us. Let us know what you finally book for your trip.

Staci, You might try e-mailing the "rent by owners" listing on the Home page and see what you can work with them.

Staci, many of the apartment style villas in Gustavia and St. Jean have been known to break it down by individual weeks in December. Ric
