Does anybody have any suggestions on a spot in SBH and a time & day during the winter season that forum posters can get together for a drink and trade info & stories on their Villas, Hotels & Restaurants.Could be as simple as Bar Oubli in Gustavia,or Andys for Pizza & Salad on Tues. Nights.

Pizza and wine at Andys on a Tuesday evening would be great. Its a fun place and the pizza is the best I've ever had. It would be a great way to find out about new restaurants, etc.

The Santa Fe is also good for meeting because you can walk around and its not too crowded. It was really fun watching part of an NFL game there at night but the drive down the hill was tough afterward.
Suggest a place and time SUnday night for example

Nick, couldn't we do it Monday nights for early evening cocktails, that way I could come along with Lydie and Matthew and have drink instead of rushing around serving pizzas. Have a great time in Canada.

What we need to do is to have a place in SBH to post who's on the Island. Just a simple bulletin board, some where people can leave messages & get local phone #'s.
Any suggestions?

Nick - Maybe the good folks at Taiwana would be willing to dedicate a bulletin board in their lobby for the use of visiting SBH members......Seriously, seems like Andy's would be a logical spot, but I hope we are not putting the spots on Andy too much....

I haven't really delved into the stars issue and how they're awarded. Does one award them to him/herself or is it up to fellow posters to rate others? I did notice that some people seem to lose them periodically but what am I to say about it because I don't have any!
Nick, I thought Kara established this meeting forum for the purposes of setting meeting times, places and dates. Is Andy really going to agree to be the "Secretary of Meetings"? LOL!
By the way, how was the Toronto meeting. No one has said much about it.....

Cheri, check it out, you got stars!!! Toronto was a lot of fun, It is really something how people from all over the world who share a love of SBH can get along so well. Deb & Roger were the best host plying us with wine & food all courtesy of the Rose & Crown!!!I don't know about Andy being a Secy. but I think he wouldn't mind Forum Contributors stopping by on Mon. nights to have a little get together now & then

Eric, will be there then and would love to watch the Superbowl. Where is Santa Fe? Will be first time to StB and as of yet, have not heard of this place.

This will be my 5th trip to SBH and I haven't been to Santa Fe yet either. I believe it is near Lurin, but with some directions it shouldn't be hard to find. I've heard that it is a good place to watch the Super Bowl so unless anyone has any other ideas I'm pretty sure I'll be there(I'll wear my gold Purdue Football t-shirt).
My wife has had something come up in her schedule so she will not be arriving on SBH until Jan. 28th now, so I'll be solo & I wouldn't want to be a "3rd wheel", but would enjoy meeting up with your party or anyone else who might happen to be there.

Santa Fe is located on the road from Gustavia up to Lurin(start next to the Carl Gustaf HÙtel). You can't miss the place, just look for a commercial building on your right a few blocks uphill after you leave the Gustaf environs.

Eric, great. No problem. Will be me and my 'date', Brad and you certainly won't be a third wheel!! We will be arriving on the 17th and you? It's been a while since I've watched a superbowl (have lived abroad for 10 years) so am totally psyched to watch it.. wherever. Anyone else want to join? The more the merrier!

Hi Marina, arrive in SBH on the 29th & usually go to Andy's for a first night dinner at 7:30, provided I can get a reservation!! If you have a chance stop by & tell me about your stay.As a matter fact all of you stop by, Pizza & Salad is on Nick.Just let Andy know so we get a big enough table!!

From the comments, it appears that a number of "fps" (forum participants) will be in St. Barth's the last two weeks in February. A chance to see all these folks would be fun. Andy ..... could you recommend a time & place that would be convenient for you? It's obvious that we all love your view of the parking lot and it would be a natural, but hard for you to join us ........ and you are an important link to our favorite destination. We arrive the 15th and would enjoy late afternoon cocktails or later .... Libby & Lance

Thanks! Yes, definitely and they are added to the agenda for sure. The list is getting longer daily. Very intrigued by what I've read here re Nikki Beach. Checked out their website with South Beach property and looks pretty hip and trendy. Wondering if it is the same kind of deal in StB.
