Has anyone found a website that offers some great deals on the 4-star hotels in Vegas? I know all of the more common, i.e. Travelocity, Expedia, Orbitz, Hotels.com and I don't want to bid on them. Looking for October. Thanks.

Hey Diane, I am going to LV mid October for a girl's weekend. My friend in Philly booked through Liberty Travel (not online) and got us an amazing deal at Bellagio, better than anything else any of us could find even online. She dealt with Carmen in the Philly office.

Diane, We found Southwest Airlines Vacations had the best deal when we booked the Bellaigo last year. Don't know if they fly from where you are, though.

Try Apple or Funjet vacations. We have used them numerous times before and they offer charter airfare /hotel deals to Las Vegas.

We stayed at the Bellagio last week...very nice...Las Vegas hotels are cheap compared to hotels in any other large cities. If you want a GREAT French dinner, I'd suggest Le Cirque at the Bellagio...my wife is still talking about the meal we had.

We dined at Picasso when we were there and we were still discussing it last night with friends. A dining experience for sure. We'll do Le Cirque next time...I hear great things about it. I'd rather leave my money at one of those tables than the ones in the casinos!

Thanks to all for your suggestions. I'll look into them. Southwest does fly from my hub so I'll check that out. Don't really want to take a charter if we can help it, we prefer scheduled air. Gayle, I always thought Liberty was a local outfit but apparently, I'm confused. I did check Bellagio website and couldn't find a room in the entire month of October..Venetian is available. I'll continue to research. Thanks again.

I actually prefer the Ventian rooms. They're larger and much better appointed. The bathrooms are larger and have double sinks and a vanity area. The Bellagio rooms are very basic. But my friends prefer to stay there, so I go with the flow.

Actually, should have mentioned this, not sure about Apple Vacations but Funjet offers packages that include scheduled air as well on several different airlines. You can also book just your hotel through them and then do your airfare separate. They represent a lot of hotels including the Bellagio and they have a great website that is very easy to navigate.

Just found a fare of $1600 for 4 nights at the Venetian, car and RT flights fromthe East Coast. What's everyone's opinion...good, fair or TOO MUCH.
P.S. Mike, have heard good things about Paris, but hubby wants to go 4+ Star hotel with plenty of pampering.

That sounds pretty good...we went last September and paid about $1200 for 3 nights at the "B" but that also included tickets to Mystre. Also Air from Austin would be cheaper. There's a great Champange bar in the Paris Hotel..can't remember the name but many Champagnes by the glass. Great way to begin or end the evening!

I thought this fare sounded pretty good too. It's Southwest and yes Mike, we're flying from MHT. Got one stop in Chicago going to Vegas and a non-stop coming home. I was impressed with the non stop cause I can't remember the last time I fly that many miles and had a non-stop! It's a treat for me. Foliage is just beginning to show some color in central NH, and I've heard that the North is pretty nice right now. Hope you can get to enjoy some of it when you come up. Our weather has been super with warm days and cool nights. Any idea what we're looking at for weather in Vegas in October?? Never been there but hubby has. Thanks again to all for your assistance.

Diane..typically it is going to be mid to high 80's during the day and high 50's at night that time of year.....very nice...and a Southwest Airline non stop from anywhere to anywhere is indeed - unusual

Take a look at the Four Seasons. It is an Oasis of serenity, yet close to everything.

We were seriously considering the Four Seasons, but the Venetian won out. I plan on taking a look at it while we're there.

OK Vegas wise-ones. Now that I have the trip, hubby decides he wants to see a show. What's the best place on line to secure tickets and/or best price???

I agree with Bill...you can usually get tickets from the concerige or directly from the hotel hosting the show. Mystre is great but i hear "O" is awesome. Some friends just got back and say Blue Man Group rocked. We saw Danny Gans last year and were VERY disappointed..he was still doing Ross Perot impersonations! Lame for $98.00 per ticket!

Has anybody seen this site?? Seems too good to be true. Would like to see "O" at the Bellagio and lots of sites sold out. This one is at $150 each..lower than most others. Comments??
