Tortoise Alert!

We had un unexpected visitor at our villa. He came in the front door while we were on the terrace. I found him in the dining room, and encouraged him to go out the closer back door onto the terrace, and off into the bushes. I like tortoises, but if you’ve ever had one leave a “present” you’ll understand why I chose not to offer him food and water.

Les Ilets is full of them. We have even named a few. George is the biggest

Years ago we learned the lesson to never feed them. They make quite a mess when the food comes out the other end.

Best to keep them outside...all the time.

It came to visit again this morning. I maged to head it off and change its mind before it got into the villa. If there is another return visit then I may have to pick it up and walk it down the steps to the lower area of the property.
