[h=2]Fuel Surcharge down February 1st.[/h]Simpson Bay January 19, 2015
– WINAIR will be decreasing its Fuel surcharges by 30% for travel after February
1, 2015. This is due to ongoing developments on the international level, where
crude oil has been experiencing price adjustments. With the decrease in the
prices of fuel WINAIR has taken this decision. Customers will enjoy a decrease
in fuel surcharges on tickets booked for travel effective February 1, 2015.

It appears that ticket prices will be lower for tickets purchased on or after February 1. I have no idea what the present fuel surcharge is bewtween SXM and SBH, but 30% less is 30% less.

Sometimes a ticket in hand today is better than a few extra dollars in pocket tomorrow. At least you are ticketed.

I don't understand why there would be any surcharge since the price of fuel is certainly below when the surcharge was first put in place.

Hi All

The decrease on the St. Barth's sector is from US$ 3.25 to US$ 2.00 (So actually some 40%) per each ways, so it is a small figure

Just for the question of fuel going down lower than what it was before surcharges were started, please note however that this is not the case for Jet Fuel, we are far from what it was when implemented many year ago.

Best Regards

Claudio

So on the SXM-SBH roundtrip, we save $2.50. Glad we purchased our tickets in advance though so we can sleep and dream of coming over the hill and landing in paradise!
