This is from Bill and Charlotte's villa last thursday evening (the entire reason I swapped my beloved iphone 4 (with superior graphics) for a 6 (with inferior graphics) was to do stuff like this!)

PS - note the boats zooming in and out, and even better, the tied up boats moving back and forth

I use my iPad mini for pictures so little I didn't realize it had a time lapse feature. Thanks. But I suppose you need a fixed support to eliminate shaking?

Yep, I just propped it up against whatever worked.......a part of a railing, a bottle, etc.

I sort of figured something like that (link) was going on when I shot a much longer video and it ended up being about the same length as this one. Thanks for the tip on the gorilla pod stand. I could tell it wasn't an Apple product because I could afford it.

Bart- an old photographers trick is to use a bean bag, or a bunch of rice in a zip-lock bag, as a tripod.
